Q. What is The Knitting Vault?
The Knitting Vault (TKV) is an online compendium or organized collection of knitting and crochet patterns. Included patterns will be creative, classic and trendy, offering customers the finest choice of downloadable patterns.

Q. What services does The Knitting Vault provide?
The Knitting Vault will host the site, maintain the site, pay for all advertising and provide technical support to designers and customers regarding PDFs.

Q. Who decides which patterns are included?
The Knitting Vault will make that decision. Designers will be advised of all decisions quickly.

Q. Are patterns exclusive?
No. Designers retain copyright and may sell their patterns wherever they wish; however, the price you establish for your patterns on The Knitting Vault must be the same or less than it is sold for elsewhere.

Q. How long are patterns on site?
Patterns will remain on The Knitting Vault indefinitely, at the discretion of TKV. Should designers wish to withdraw any or all of their patterns, they would make the request in writing and their patterns would be removed within 30 days.

Q. How are pattern prices established?
Designers will set their own prices, which will never be changed without the designer’s written request or permission.

Q. Fees
Fee sharing will be 60% for The Knitting Vault and 40% for the designer.

Q. When will designers be paid?
Designers will be paid monthly for sales of $25 USD or more and quarterly for sales of less than $25 USD.

Q. How will The Knitting Vault be marketed?
The Knitting Vault will be purchasing, on an ongoing basis, placements on the most popular search engines to insure that whenever customers search on relevant keywords, they find The Knitting Vault among the top searches. Additionally, TKV will be doing other print and online advertising, as required.

Q. What is PDF?
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a type of formatting that enables files to be viewed on a variety computers regardless of the program originally used to create them. PDF files retain the "look and feel" of the original document with special formatting, graphics, and color intact. PDF files are readable with Adobe Acrobat Reader, an application that can be downloaded AT NO CHARGE. Click button below.

Q. Who creates the PDFs for The Knitting Vault?
Once designers submit all of the pattern files, The Knitting Vault will add a watermark to discourage copying and convert them to PDF. See Submission Guidelines for more information.

Q. Who provides technical support?
The Knitting Vault will provide technical support to designers and purchasing customers for downloading and for all purchase information.
